Happy Canada Day!
Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 6:37AM On this special day I would like to wish all Canadians, no matter where they are in the world today, a Happy Canada Day! Whether you are at home, in Afghanistan or on vacation or serving Canada in another country, this is your day too.
It’s a time to celebrate and enjoy who we are, what we have accomplished as a nation and a time to reflect on where we want to go in the future.
Since starting this blog, I have had an opportunity to interact with people across this great country, share opinions on articles and learn as well as teach while discussing items with them. A special thank goes out to those of you who have commented directly on this blog site, or on my National Post, Cornwall Free News or The Mark News articles. And a thank you to those who have provided additional background material and comments by email or phone call. Sharing opinions in public is one of the freedoms we enjoy in Canada and one which so many people around the world are not permitted to do.
